Battle of Britain Memorial Leather Flying Jacket

Aviation Leathercraft were delighted to have been asked to produce stylish but functional leather jackets for the pilots of The Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (RAFBBMF). They are regularly seen at  British State occasions, notably Trooping the Colour, celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's birthdays, Royal weddings and at air displays throughout the United Kingdom and Europe, keeping alive the memory of those brave souls who fought in World War II.

 Now you too can have one of these superb stylish and functional jackets of your very own.

Product Specification

Leather:   Highest specification hard-wearing supple cowhide.
Colour:     Black
Lining:      Black - 100% cotton drill.
Pockets: Two outside side entry pockets with zip closure, two deep inside pockets with snap closure and one left-hand sleeve pencil pocket with a Velcro secured flap.
Sleeves/Waistband: Cuffs are leather with a secreted storm cuff and the waistband is leather with elasticated side panels.
Underarms have a leather-bound open vent.
Zip:           Heavy-duty brass.
Sizes      36" to 50" English (91 cm - 126cms) chest with option of regular or long fit.

Jacket Size Guide
We suggest men order the same size jacket as their actual chest measurement.

Length: Jackets are cut either 'regular' or 'long'. Please note: LONG does not mean a longer jacket it generally is only applicable to clients who are over 6 foot (183cms) Our 'long' cut sizes provide additional length on sleeve and back lengths for our taller clients.

If you are 6' or 1.83m or 72" or above we would suggest ordering a 'long' or if you find you normally need longer sleeve lengths when purchasing garments.

Measuring back Length
We measure back length from the nape of the neck (collar seam) to the base of the jacket. 

Measuring Sleeves
We measure sleeves from the top of the arm to about 1" (24mm) below the wrist bone. Please see table below for the sleeve length of our jackets.
