This T-shirt has a striking design that captures the work of RAF Quick Reaction Alert Squadrons during the dark days of the Cold War. Using GCI (Ground Controlled Interception) Phantoms and Lightnings were scrambled to intercept aircraft 'wandering' into UK airspace. The Tupolev Tu-95's or Bear's were often confronted by armed RAF fighters firing passive homing missiles. GCI has since been replaced with Airborne Early Warning and Control systems. These AEW aircraft patrol our UK skies as well as in overseas conflicts. The RAF Typhoon F2 now operates out of Lossiemouth and Coningsby still in the QRA - 'Bear Hunting' role.
Size and care instructions
All our t-shirts are designed by Flyingraphics and printed in Great Britain. Designs are printed by hand onto each shirt using the silk-screenprint process and direct to garment digital print.
Chest size to fit :
S (36-38"), M (38-40"), L (41-42"), XL (43-44"), 2XL (45-47"), 3XL (49-51"), 4XL (52-54").
Care of your T-shirt
1. Machine wash warm, inside out with like colours.
2. Use only non-chlorine bleach.
3. Do not tumble dry
4. Iron inside out and not directly on the design.
5. Do not dry clean
