This is a 1/72 scale military scale diecast model from Hobby Master. This is the Hobbymaster F/A-18F Super Hornet 165926, VFA-122 “Flying Eagles”, US Navy, 2022
Present day VFA-122 “Flying Eagles” Squadron USN was first formed in 1950 as VC-35 and later became VF-122 and was disestablished in 1991. In January 1999 VFA-125 (“legacy” F/A-18 Hornet FRS “Fleet Replacement Squadron”) was disestablished so staff and airplanes were absorbed by VFA-122. VFA-122 became the West Coast Hornet and Super Hornet squadron to train USN and USMC replacement pilots and WSOs. Beginning in 2022 the USN training aircraft would make static and Legacy Flight appearances at air shows.
