Good for cables thicker than the normal earbuds
"I've been using one of these for about 8 years to secure a 2 core mains thickness cable to my pocket for use as an extension to my earbuds. I'm about to order another one for headphone cables that are too thick to use the normal earbud cable clips. Holds the cable securely and clip stays attached to my clothing. Won't work for very thin earbud cables as the cable hole doesn't close to zero."
