SkyMarks offers high density plastic moulded models in a large variety of scales and airlines. Many airlines available as SkyMarks models are not available from any other manufacturer. All models come with a display stand and while most models come with no landing gear to be properly displayed 'in-flight', some come with real rubber tires for added realism.
Comprising superior quality, substantial, solid injection molded plastic components with a simple snap-fit design that allows for easy assembly without the need for glue, this SkyMarks 1/200 Scale Lufthansa Boeing 787-9 measures approximately 12-3/8-inches long with a 12-1/8-inch wingspan and comes complete with a Display Stand. An accurate, true-to-scale reproduction of the actual aircraft, this Lufthansa Boeing 787-9, which is manufactured as an officially licensed product, is great for collectors and features authentic, highly detailed graphics and markings.
Having commenced service with the introduction of the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner in 2011 as a more fuel-efficient, environmentally friendly successor to the aging Boeing 767, as market demand for the Boeing 747 and 767 had begun to slow down, the innovative, twin engine, wide-body Boeing 787 Dreamliner is currently offered in three different versions that can be configured to seat from 248 up to 336 passengers and is recognized by its prominently curved aerodynamic wings with raked back wingtips and chevrons on its engine nacelles.
Technologically advanced with state-of-the-art avionics, electronics systems and an airframe that primarily comprises lightweight composite materials, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner can fly ultra-long-haul, non-stop, point-to-point routes up to 8,500 nautical miles where bigger aircraft cannot be accommodated or are financially justifiable, and offers improved cabin noise and oxygen levels, larger windows, and a very spacious interior design for maximum flying pleasure.
Intended to replace the aging Boeing 767-300ER, the Boeing 787-9, which went into service in 2014, is a lengthened version of the launch version Boeing 787-8 with a higher maximum takeoff weight, and because of its increased range over the launch model, can fly 296 passengers to an even greater number of non-stop routes with exceptional efficiency.
